Map & Directions

Thwaite How is situated in a quiet position in Rosthwaite, in the picturesque Borrowdale Valley. It is ideally placed in the heart of the Lake District National Park, with the advantage of being only a short drive away from the amenities of Keswick.

From Keswick take the B5289 signposted Borrowdale. This lovely route runs beside Derwentwater. Go past the village of Grange-in-Borrowdale and through the ‘Jaws of Borrowdale’ then the valley suddenly opens out and presents you with stunning views of the valley. Rosthwaite is the next hamlet. When you pass the ‘Rosthwaite sign’, take your next right turn. Drive to the top of this road where you will see Yew Tree Farm and turn sharp left. Follow this round for just a few yards then take the next left turn. Thwaite How is situated down the lane on your left. Parking is available in the garage or immediately in front of the garage if you keep tight in so as not to block the access.
